Since I have a poll running on the side, I figure we might as well have a post about Joe Biden’s pick as running mate. I personally am neutral on the. Joe Biden was safe for Barack Obama. There were no positives and no negatives so I look forward to hearing your opinions in the comments.

Some german paper said “The 65-year-old brings along indisputable political experience, a fact that should calm the fears of many who doubt Obama. He could step in as president at a moment’s notice. And over the years, he has never lost touch with his party’s base: the white voters in small-town America whose approval Obama has been seeking with little success up to now, but whose vote he desperately needs. Taken all together, it means naming Biden as his running mate was the best choice Obama could have made”
Dude,
thats pretty idiotic!
Biden’s insider status is hard to reconcile with Obama’s change-based campaign. “The Republican campaign will go to town with the fact that Biden recently said Obama was not ready to be president,” And one has to wonder how Obama will be able to keep up his message that his campaign is about creating change in Washington, with a running mate who has long been a standard representative of Washington business-as-usual.
