I also liked how she purposely paused for the applause and how the cameras were directed to those signs. They must have practiced.

I try to be non-partisan, as I am registered as one. I also appreciate that it takes some organized tactics to generate a good PR buzz. I just don’t like it when they are so obviously contrived. The signs in Israel were not as blatantly obvious to me. I admit that I was fooled by them. Thanks for providing that information.

The entertainment industry is much like politics. It’s all about fooling the viewer/voter. I appreciate when directors do such a good job that our disbelief is suspended. Who cares about what is true or not, as long as we are convinced, that’s all that matters.

While my blog is completely non-partisan, I still do want to point out whether the RNC did or didn’t fake the signs they are not the only ones. Please see my post here from July where Barack Obama’s team pulled the same stunt.

Dirty tricks are done by both sides.

I looked at the signs which read “Soccer Moms 4 Palin” and “Palin Power” etc. Most of those signs were exactly the same size, made out of the same material, with exactly the same colored paint, and in what appeared to me to be the exact same handwriting. I just kept thinking that if this were a movie and I was the art director, those signs would not fly. They looked too contrived.

On the other hand, the signs at the DNC all appeared to be genuine - as if the people holding them had actually made them - they were much more believable.
