My journalism isn’t at fault. Please read more carefully. I never wrote that Obama wasn’t discussing his aversion to this gas tax on the stump. Of course, he is! It’s making national news. That’s not the point. I have yet to hear him say ONCE that he voted for a shell game, that it didn’t pan out, and that he’s learned his lesson. All he says, from what I’ve seen and read and heard, is that his opponents are putting forth fluff while he knows better. Does he reveal to his audience that HE VOTED FOR PRECISELY THE SAME LEGISLATION???? Nope. If you can find a quote where he admits he was wrong and mocks his opponents after he’s fessed up to playing the same shell game 8 years ago, I’d be very happy to see it.
