In Monday night’s debates in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Obama and Hilary were at each other’s throats yelling and putting each other down. Obama accused the Clinton by saying “There’s a set of assertions made by Senator Clinton as well as her husband that are not factually accurate,I think that part of what the people are looking for right now is somebody who’s going to solve problems and not resort to the same typical politics that we’ve seen in Washington.” Clinton responded by saying to Obama “Senator Obama, it is very difficult to have a straight-up debate with you because you never take responsibility for any vote,” a statement that was followed by loud boos.

Most of the debate excluded Edwards who was present as well, though not given much time to speak. Two issues that were brought up were Hillary’s position on the board of Wal-Mart, and Obama’s connection to inner city Chicago slum landlord businessman, Antoin “Tony” Rezko.
Forgetting about all the details of the arguments, and the issues that were brought to light, doesn’t this kind of fighting worry voters? Is this Clinton’s way of showing she is diplomatic and capable in the area of foreign affairs and dealing with politicians? I would have to say, from watching the debate live, that Hillary definitely swung the bat a little too hard at Obama. Although they were both constantly interrupting each other, it was Senator Clinton who made the first move to interrupt Obama at a time when Obama had waited patiently for his turn to respond.

Obama had a great line when Hillary said that Obama should not make comments about what Bill said because he is not running, and was not present at the debate. To this Obama responded- “Well, I can’t tell who I’m running against sometimes.” Although this was only said and a counter comment to what Clinton said, this is an important issue for voters to contemplate. I have brought it up before- voters need to realize that by electing Hillary, you are giving Bill Clinton 4 more years as president.

How could the Clintons be preaching change? How could they provide change? Is change going to come from the same family in the white house for 12 years? Or is change going to come from someone new in the White House-someone scandal free with new visions?
Although Obama may have just been defending himself, he took a moment to remind voters-you choose the same old, you get the same old. How so very true this is for the Clintons!
